From David himself:
Twenty two years ago, when I first started studying and filming mountain lions, I noticed they occupied some of the best wildlife habitat I was spending time in. I assumed they were drawn to this habitat for many reasons, beginning with more prey. But over the years I learned they were responsible, in large part, for creating this habitat as a keystone species. The role that keystone species play in maximizing the health of an ecosystem is something worth learning about, respecting and supporting. If they keystone species is thriving in an ecosystem, many other species will thrive as well.
In addition to their value as a keystone species, this presentation will also cover:
Alexander Mountain Fire - What we’ve learned so far regarding wildlife impact
Being as safe as possible in mountain lion country
Tips for seeing more mountain lion and other wildlife activity
Why hunting mountain lions increases risks to hikers and trail runners (I share this as a lifetime hunter)
Places in northern Colorado to see more wildlife without the crowds

Susan Jessup's dad called the ranch a gem, a place that's wild and full of wildlife thanks to multiple conservation easements, ensuring the land will never be developed. This will be a celebration of the sweat equity of the Jessups and how they cowboy'd up through fire, flood, and the pandemic to maintain this wild for wildlife and the guests that visit from all over the world. We tip our hats their way!
