Great Grownup Getaway

During mid-August & September (5-night stay), Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch transforms into a Adult Only Dude Ranch. The Great Grownup Getaway includes five comfortable nights lodging with 14 mouth watering, ranch style meals, for adults only (age 21 and older). There will be no crying over spilled milk this week!

Adult Only Week is customized to especially meet the interests of adults, with adult oriented activities like wine and cheese tastings, country dance instruction, guided nature hikes, and trapshooting.

Steers will be on hand for team sorting, and you won’t want to stop once you try your hand at roping lessons!

We’ll gear down the pace for grownup week so you can give yourself permission to escape to Cottonwood Gulch, or lose yourself in the pages of a book in the Book Nook.  Drift off for a nap, lulled by the soothing sounds of the river.

Hook up with some newfound friends for tennis singles or doubles, and you won’t want to miss round robin ping pong! Campfire and s’mores are a must at any age! Olde Tyme Movie Night promises popcorn and sodas served while you enjoy favorite classic Westerns!

Take advantage of our game room, volleyball pit, game courts, or horseshoe pits, to feed your competitive spirit.

You’ll have more fun by adding spirited activities for your group! Choose from fishing, horseback riding, hayrides, softball and more! Great Grownup Getaway to Sylvan Dale — what a great break before the onset of fall activities! We also include an overnight pack trip to the back country. Ride up to a higher elevation, where you’ll be greeted at Cow Camp by the smell of our delectable beef steaks cooking over the grill. Spend the night under the stars after singing around a campfire with s’mores. A perfect way to get back to nature!

While staying on the main ranch, you can also count on the rustling of the Big Thompson River to ease you to sleep, and excellent food at every seating. The week closes with a gourmet dinner followed by a Ranch Party with Sylvan Dale staff.
