COVID-19 Preparations

Freshly Laundered Sheets

Sylvan Dale Ranch understands you may be concerned about your health and safety when traveling to and staying at our facility. We want to assure you that guest concerns are important to us and that we consider it a top priority to protect your health during your visit.

We are monitoring the situation closely, adapting our cleaning processes and practices to maintain the most sanitary environment possible, and informing our staff of the best ways to keep themselves and our guests healthy. We are also evaluating our policies to minimize the impact on our guests. We will continue to update this information as the situation evolves.

You can be assured that we are committed to creating and maintaining a healthy and welcoming environment for all. You may wear a mask while visiting our indoor common areas, as well as when you participate in activities where you will be in close proximity to other guests or staff. Currently, masks are requested to be worn by unvaccinated guests only. We will let you know if anything changes!

Cleaning Processes

Housekeeping
We continue to clean to a high standard, using products that are designed to kill viruses – specifically Coronaviruses. We are focusing on frequently touched surfaces such as counters, door handles and knobs, phones and fixtures. We are also stockpiling cleaning products and making them available to staff in all departments to keep their areas clean and disinfected.

Food Service
In our dining room and kitchen, we have strict sanitation procedures that we follow regularly which are put in place and monitored by our local health department. In addition, we are doing the following:

  • Training our staff in proper protective habits to help ensure guest/staff safety.

  • Communicating current information to seasonal staff regarding proper safety habits.

  • Providing additional hand sanitizer stations in common areas for guests/staff use.

  • Increasing our regular cleaning after each meal to include the disinfecting of entry/exit door handles, pulls and knobs.

  • Providing extra cleaning of chairs and tables during and after each meal, with extra attention to handles, caddies and all other potentially hazardous items.

  • Deep-cleaning bathrooms after each meal period with virucide/bactericide sanitizers.

Staff Safety

A team of staff members is meeting regularly to monitor the situation and ensure our current processes and policies align to create the healthiest environment possible for both our guests and our staff. Staff is receiving regular information about how to stay healthy and keep their personal and work spaces clean and disinfected. They are reminded regularly to practice good hygiene habits and take extra precautions as necessary.

Staff is encouraged to stay home when feeling sick and to keep their supervisors informed of any health concerns.

Leadership is taking direction from local, state and federal health officials regarding best practices for protecting the health of individuals of large groups staying in close proximity.

Policies

Groups & Reunions
Concerns are being discussed on a case-by-case basis with initial focus on groups arriving within the next 60 days. For those groups arriving more than 60 days out, we anticipate conducting business as usual, adapting and accommodating as developments dictate.

Individuals & Individual Families
Guests who have questions about their upcoming reservations should call the office for more information. If requested, we can provide you with a copy of our Standard Operating Procedures in regard to food safety and employee hygiene as well as deep cleaning protocols.

Be safe out there! And if you’re hesitant to travel out of the country this summer, we sure hope to see you on ranch instead! 🤠
