Father's Day Music Festival - great bands & fishing derby - June 15th!
Treat Dad and the whole family to fabulous live music, tasty picnic fare, and a fishing derby in a picture-perfect outdoor setting at our Daddy J Pavilion! Horseback riding, lead-around rides for kids and hayrides will be offered.
The Three Bands:
The O'Brien Family Band plays award-winning lively bluegrass, Western and gospel music, as well as their own original music. The 2 youths in the family, Maura (12) and Kyle (15), are both winners of the Western Music Association's International Youth Yodeling Championship and both play mutliple instruments. The family band plays fiddle, banjo, accordion , dobro, mandolin and bass. Brad Fitch from Estes Park and his brother Doug Fitch from Hawaii will play acoustic guitar and ukelele and sing many original tunes written by Brad and his wife. They will sing a crowd-pleasing set of well-known favorites by John Denver, including some opportunities for guests to sing along. Bill Barwick, renowned throughout Colorado, was the Western Music "Male Vocalist of the Year" in 2005, nominated by the Academy of Western Artists. Bill's deep, rich voice adds character to the cowboy and Western songs he loves. He'll be accompanied by a bass.
