HEAD WRANGLER

 

Our family owned and operated guest ranch is looking for a mature horse professional that has strong leadership skills capable of organizing a positive and efficient staff and a quality horse experience for our guests.    Must be comfortable in a team-work environment working cooperatively with existing management to implement an already established program. 

We invite you to apply if you have the following skills:

• Previous experience teaching western horsemanship lessons for beginning and intermediate  riders.   

• Knowledgeable with cattle work including driving, cutting, branding, calving, vaccinating.

• Ranching background.

• Hands-on supervisory experience with a crew of up to 8.

• An outgoing friendly personality that encourages confidence and trust

• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal

• Basic computer skills to manage record keeping and reports

• High standards of cleanliness and organization in the work place

• Can drive a team

• Can pack and cook over an open fire.  Extra credit for Dutch Oven cooking!

SOUS CHEF

Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch is hiring 2 Cooks to provide wholesome, beautifully presented, abundant and consistently delicious meals for our guests.  The perfect candidate will have Restaurant experience preferable in a Hotel environment.  The Duties of the "Sous Chef" will include, but not be limited to:

•Prepare “UTS” meals using established recipes.

•Comply with established heath and safety procedures.

•Provide direction to Kitchen assistant.

•Provide support to Service and Beverage Crews as needed.

•Use proper food handling and production techniques to ensure food quality including taste, presentation and temperatures.

•Comply with established food storage techniques to label, date, and rotate foods.

•Ensure customer service by accommodating guest requests.

•Assist in daily cleaning duties on Routine Checklist.

•Other duties may be assigned.
