Buckaroo Program: ages 3-12
Little Buckaroos, Age 3-5
Sarah is on the alert!
Age appropriate activities will provide new experiences for your little Buckaroo. They will join the bigger kids with many of their activities based on their interest level and attention span.
Cottonwood Gulch provides kid-friendly place to explore the natural world. Lead around rides will get them on a horse… perhaps for their very first time!

Buckaroos, Age 6-12
For the older kids, we've expanded the Buckaroo program to include a full range of activities, including horsemanship instruction and horse care, games on horseback and other fun, age-apropriate activities.

Parents of Buckaroos:
Our youth counselors serve as mentors to your kids while sharing the excitement of new adventures, always keeping safety in mind.
We welcome you to join your kids for any of the youth activities. The only exception is the youth camp out on Thursday for the 6-12 year olds.
It is a highlight of the week as a bonding experience for friendships made.

BUCKAROO PROGRAM SCHEDULE
So…you want to spend more time with your child? — No problem!
Parents are welcome to join in on any of the Buckaroo Activities. Of course you are always free to take your child out of the program to go on a family ride or some other activity of your choosing.
So…you have kids under 6? — No worries!
Lead-around rides will be offered a couple times during the week for the 5-and-under crowd, and they are also welcome to join in on any of the non-horse, age appropriate Buckaroo Activities.
Our "Nanny Rate" could be the perfect solution for allowing you and your child to experience the best of Sylvan Dale. BYO or rent an SDR Nanny! (See Packages and Pricing for details.)
TEEN TIME AT SYLVAN DALE
Teens at Sylvan Dale appreciate the freedom to pick and choose their activities.
Teens can participate in the "adult" activities of their choosing such as:

- Adventure Rides
- Riding Instruction
- Overnight Pack Trip To Cow Camp
- Rock Climbing
Separate Teen activities can also be arranged upon request, including:
Movie night, teen ride, geocaching treasure hunt, volleyball, soccer, ping pong and horseshoe tournaments, to name a few.
The game room, located in the Heritage Lodge, is a natural gathering place for teens, where ideas are hatched and friendships made.
