A Sylvan Dale Wagon Ride is an "ease back" way to engage with family, friends, or coworkers.
Hayrides are a wonderfully relaxing way to enjoy our beautiful scenery. Climb aboard our wagon or horse-drawn wagon for a refreshing hayride and guided tour of the ranch. You'll get to discover some of our 3200 acres and learn about Sylvan Dale history and the natural surroundings.
Hayrides are a perfect team-development, family reunion, or group party activity too! Kids love the gift of an authentic hayride for birthday party excitement. Hayrides even make a distinctly different reward following your rehearsal dinner. For weddings, a hayride with our beautiful Belgians is an unforgettable and romantic reward.
Our team of Belgium draft horses will take you along the Foothills Trail. The Prairie Dogs will be on hand to greet you and, depending on the time of year, the Home Pastures will be dotted with the Ranch’s livestock—foals and calves a special springtime treat!
Listen up! You will hear stories about the natural and human history of our magical Valley. Keep your eyes open! You may catch a glimpse of a Coyote, Bear, Deer, or Bobcat.
After your ride, gather round a wood-burning campfire and roast your marshmallow to a golden brown—perfect for that classic S’more, or experience a slice of the old west with a Sylvan Dale Chuck Wagon dinner, featuring our own Heart-J Beef in our savory Sylvan Dale BBQ sauce served up with old fashioned corn bread, calico beans, coleslaw and Dutch oven cobbler and whipped cream. Add on some toe-tapping cowboy entertainment or just gaze at the beauty of our wide-open valley.
There's really no good reason not to treat yourself to a hayride. Hayrides invite a special time and have the magical ability to create and evoke warm memories—you probably won't find this service offered at a downtown hotel!
Hayride Rates:
- Horse-drawn Wagon ride (12 ppl per ride) $125
- Tractor-drawn Wagon Ride (25 ppl per ride) $95
- Hilltop campfire & picnic area - $100 $75 (up to 4 hours)
- Cottonwood Gulch campfire & picnic area $200 (up to 4 hours)
- Hot Beverage and S’mores - $4.50 per person
- Chuck Wagon Dinner: $20-$45 per person
Deposits: Prepayment in full is required 24 hours in advance for Hayride-only group events.
Cancellations: If you must cancel your ride please call us within 24 hours prior to the event for a refund or transfer. Due to scheduling and staffing requirements cancellations less than 24 hours prior to a scheduled event are non-refundable. All hayrides are contingent amenable weather conditions. Hayrides may be canceled due to snow, rain, extreme heat or cold, or other conditions. Please call ahead to confirm your scheduled hayride if circumstances or weather appear unfavorable.
