 For your convenience, rods, waders and boots, and
float tubes are available for a small rental fee. The
Ranch store contains a good selection of flies and
other supplies.
For River fishing, we recommend a 4-6 weight, 9 foot
rod, floating lines, and light weight waders. For the
trophy lakes, 6-7 weight rods are preferred. On many
days, these lakes can be fished from the bank; but
sometimes when the fish are at the bottom, a float
tube is recommended. Both floating lines and sink-tip
lines are useful in the lakes. Heavier waders are recommended
if you are going to be sitting in a float tube for
long periods.
For the river, 5X tippets are best. For the trophy
lakes, we use 3X tippets for streamers, and 4X for
smaller flies.
