2012 Summer Employment

Wranglers Wanted!

Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch is hiring wranglers for the 2012 summer season.

If you have horsemanship skills, a strong work ethic and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others, we would look forward to your application. A background in working with kids and past wrangling experience is a plus.

As a wrangler you would be giving:

• riding lessons,
• guiding trail rides
• doing barn chores

Our program includes:

• lessons
• scenic trail rides
• overnight pack trips
• breakfast rides
• and a whole lot more!

First Aid and CPR certification is required. References are requested. Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.

Youth Counselor

If sharing the beauty of the natural world with the young and the young-at-heart is your idea of a great job description, then the Sylvan Dale Youth Program is the right place for you. Our Program provides a wide variety of age-appropriate activities designed to re-awaken creativity, boost self-confidence and help develop awareness of the wonders of the natural world.

As a Youth Counselor you would be responsible for directing the following activities:

• hiking
• tubing
• softball
• archery
• overnight camp outs
• horseback riding lessons
• trail rides

Salary includes Housing and Meals. First Aid and CPR certification is required. Experience working with groups of kids, above average horsemanship skills and a love of the outdoors are required. References are requested. Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.
