Legendary Dude Ranch Hospitality Since 1946 Legendary Dude Ranch Hospitality Since 1946

Purchased in 1946 by Maurice and Mayme Jessup, Sylvan Dale has a rich history and a message for all who have ever dared to dream. While keeping pace with the times we preserve the essence of our western heritage, offering you a meaningful escape from the pressures of everyday life.

Located in the Rocky Mountain Foothills, an easy hours' drive from Denver, Sylvan Dale is a hassle-free "commute" for both you and your guests.

Experience the best of Colorado – year round. Experience the best of Colorado – year round

Spring (March–May) is an awakening. Wild plum blossoms perfume the valley while wildflowers grace the hillsides and migratory birds abound.

Summer (June–August) You can expect bright sunny days with daytime temperatures in the high 80’s or low 90’s and an occasional afternoon shower. Mountain streams flow and wildflowers continue to bloom into mid summer.

Fall (September–October) Autumn mornings are fresh and crisp with daytime temperatures moderate. High country aspen grow gold in September with cottonwoods sustaining their splendor into late October.

Winter (November–February) Our winters tend to be mild with infrequent snows that blanket the hillsides and quickly dissipate in the warm winter sun. A real wood-burning fire makes for cozy returns from invigorating outdoor fun.

Our Ranch Family members are individuals who are selected for their passion to genuinely serve. We anticipate your needs and accommodate with ease.

We live our Mission:

“To create memorable experiences for others by sharing the beauty of Sylvan Dale—our natural surroundings, our western heritage, our people and our service.”

We offer a wide range of services, with the flexibility to customize to meet your needs. From the purely recreational to "all about business", our facilities, food, and accommodations provide the foundation for a great Colorado experience.

And while you’re at it, don’t forget to leave time for outdoor adventures! Explore the hills on horseback … cast your line in the sparkling waters of the Big Thompson … repel the cliffs of Green Ridge … rise and shine for an early morning breakfast ride … take a refreshing plunge into our just-right heated pool … set your sites on trap shooting … climb to Inspiration Point or Eagle Ridge for a view of the valley … ride up Sulzer Gulch for an overnight excursion at Cow Camp … move cattle up the draw … hop on the hayride and then roast the perfect marshmallow over a crackling camp fire. There’s lots to do … no pressure to do it.
